Xu Mengtao

Mengtao Xu (Chinese徐梦 桃, Pinyin Xu Mèngtáo, born July 12, 1990 in Jilin ) is a Chinese freestyle skier. She specializes in the discipline Aerials ( jumping). My biggest success is to win the overall World Cup freestyle in the 2012/13 season. There are also two victories in discipline reviews, the World Champion title in 2013 and two more World Championship medals.

Biography

Xu made his debut on 9 December 2006 at the freestyle skiing World Cup and jumped in Jilin to seventh place. A day later, she stood as third parties already for the first time on the podium. After winning at the Asian Winter Games in Changchun in 2007 the silver medal came at the end of the 2006/07 season at the Junior World Championships in Airolo the gold medal added.

Throughout the winter of 2007/08, Xu was sidelined due to injury. Then she had a successful comeback and was able to celebrate the first World Cup victory in Moscow on 14 February 2009. Three weeks later she won at the 2009 World Championships in Inawashiro behind Li Nina the silver medal. In the 2009/10 season it was previously three times on the podium (including one win) and therefore was one of the favorites for winning a medal at the Olympic Winter Games 2010. Whistler led her because even after the first round, but fell in the second passage back to sixth place.

After Xu had decided in 2011 to the beginning of another World Cup competition for themselves, they again won the silver medal at the World Cup 2011. In the season 2011/12 Xu proved to be superior. She won five of the nine World Cup competitions, were added two second places. So she decided by a large margin the Aerials - discipline rating for himself and finished third in the overall World Cup second place. Also in the World Cup season 2012/13 they had little chance of competition: Of the six discharged competitions they won five, once they finished third. Think she decided the Aerials - discipline rating for themselves, just as the World Cup. At the World Cup 2013 in Voss, she won the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 the silver medal.
