XxxHolic
× × × Holic (Japaneseホリック, horikku ) is an ongoing manga series of the group Clamp, which can be assigned to the His and horror and mystery genre. The work has also been implemented as an anime, light novel and radio play.
Action
Kimihiro Watanuki The boy (四月 一日 君 寻) has inherited the ability to see ghosts and is therefore constantly persecuted by them. When he is again one day on the run from them, he accidentally touched a wall, whereupon the spirits vanish. The wall limits the estate of Yuko Ichihara (壱 原 侑 子), the witch of the dimension. There she runs a shop where you get wishes fulfilled, if one is willing to pay an appropriate price. Also Watanuki promises to free him from his appeal for spirits and the ability to see them. For this he has to work with her in the business as a " jack of all trades ".
So Watanuki entered the service of Yukos and is often involved in supernatural events that bring him partially in mortal danger. He is supported by his classmates Shizuka Domeki who has the ability to exorcise ghosts, but the Watanuki can not stand.

× × × holic appeared in Japan from 2003 to 2011 in continuation of chapters in the manga magazine Young Magazine of the Kodansha publishing house, which also appeared earlier work CLAMPs Chobits. The publisher took this sequel chapter also regularly in 19 anthologies.
× × × holic Since November 2004, published in German in Egmont Manga and Anime, and August 2011, all volumes were published. The translation is by Claudia Peter. The manga will continue to be published among others in the United States, Spain, Portugal, Italy and France.

Anime
Based on the manga of the movie, × × × Holic A Midsummer Night's Dream was created, (剧场版× × × holic真夏ノ夜ノ夢, Gekijōban Horikku - Manatsu no Yoru no Yume ), which was published in August 2005. 2006 was produced by Production IG and directed by Tsutomu Mizushima a 24- episode anime television series. The character design designed Kazuchika Kise and the artistic director Hiromasa Ogura had stopped. The series was broadcast on 6 April until 28 September 2006 by TBS. From April 3 to June 26, 2008 ran on TBS season 2 × × × Holic: Kei ( xxxholic ◆ 継). On 18 February 2009, the first of two parts of an original video animation appeared, entitled × × × holic: Shunmuki ( × × × holic春梦 记). The second part was followed on 23 June 2009.
The movie was released in Germany together with the Tsubasa movie Tsubasa Chronicle - The Princess of the Birdcage Land at Anime Virtual on DVD. The film was also broadcast on Arte on 12 August 2008 in a dubbed version.
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the 1.Staffel was published in 2008 in Anime Virtual in three DVD boxes with 2 DVDs. The series was also translated among others into English, Spanish, French and Chinese.

The music of the series comes from S.E.N.S. The header title is 19sai Shikao Suga by and for the Broadcast used to Reason by Fonogenico and Kagero of BUCK- TICK. The consequences of the second season to begin with Suga Shikao Nobody Knows, the credits song delivered SEAMO feat. AYUSE Kozue with Honey Honey.

Success
The 13th volume of the manga sold in Japan about 450 000 times. In April 2009, the band was also sixth place on the list of best selling manga in the U.S..
Reception
According to Christel Scheja Splash Comics Manga offers a bleak story with surprises and excitement. The filigree style of the characters seriously held series orienting itself more on the Art Nouveau style. In some volumes show the series but serene scenes also.
The Funime writes to the anime from simple animations and drawings, and not always successful, attempt to imitate the style of the manga. Also, sound and picture are of rather low quality. The series live mainly by their interesting, sometimes funny, sometimes serious action.
