Y-12 National Security Complex

The Y -12 National Security Complex is a nuclear facility of the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration in Oak Ridge ( Tennessee).

Y -12 was opened in 1943 and served in the early years of uranium enrichment as part of the Manhattan Project.

On July 28th, 2012 severed the 83- year-old nun Megan Rice and two companions fences of the plant, to demonstrate for peace. The action made ​​evident how lax the plant was guarded.
