Yabe (Fukuoka)

Yabe (矢 部 村jap, -mura ) was a village in the administrative district Yame in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. On February 1, 2010, she united with Kurogi, Tachibana and Hoshino by community YAME.

The village has about 1,730 inhabitants Yabe (as of 2006). The area is 80.46 km ² and the population density is approximately 21.50 persons per km ².

In Yabe, among other green tea is grown. About a third of the population lives in rural households.
