Yadkin County, North Carolina

Yadkin County is a county located in the state of North Carolina of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Yadkinville.

Geography

The County is located in northwestern North Carolina, is located in the north about 35 miles from Virginia and has an area of 874 square kilometers, of which 5 square kilometers is water area. History

Yadkin County was formed in 1850 from parts of Surry County. It was named, as is the district capital of Yadkinville, Yadkin River after.
