Yağmur Sarıgül

Yağmur Sarıgül ( born August 26, 1979 in Antalya) is a Turkish musician. He is the guitarist and songwriter of the band maNga.

Life

Sarıgül was born on August 26, 1979 in Antalya. At the age of three he moved with his family to Ankara. His musical talent was discovered early in his childhood. Both of his parents are amateur musicians - his father played Ney and his mother Oud. He began listening to classical and Turkish folk music. With ten years he studied at the Hacettepe University piano playing, he studied violin at Bilkent University. Then he began to play the guitar. At this time, he studied in the Ankara Anatolian arts high school. Later he studied at the Gazi University. In 2001 he played - before he founded the band maNga - at the rock bands Laterna and 6 / 8th In 2002 he was the best musician nominated for Sing Your Song Contest, where maNga was second. At concerts Sarıgül once played on a Washburn (7 -string guitar ) and a Ibanez K7 ( 7 -string guitar). In 2007 he signed a contract with the guitar company " Cort ", and is since then the official Cort guitarist. He now plays a Cort Turkish Edition, a Cort Viva 7 and a Gibson Gothic Explorer ( 7 -string ).

Songwriting

Sarıgül writes the lyrics and the music of the band. On this debut album, he wrote the music and lyrics to 8 Songs ( Açılış, Kal Yanımda, Yalan, libido, Yalan 2, Mangara, Kapanış and Kandırma kendini ). The songs Bitti Rüya, Dursun Zaman, İtildik, Kapkaç and Sakin Bana Söyleme he was supported by singer Ferman Akgül, Özgür Can Öney and Haluk Kurosman. He coverte the songs İz Bırakanlar Unutulmaz of Vega, and raptiye Rap Rap Cem Karaca. The songs on the 2009 released album very -i Hüzün were also written by Sarıgül and Ferman Akgül.
