Yaha District
Amphoe Yaha ( Thai: อำเภอ ยะหา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Yala. The Yala province is located southeast of the southern region of Thailand, at the border to Malaysia.
Geography
Adjacent counties and regions are (from west clockwise): Amphoe Kabang in the province of Yala, Amphoe Saba Yoi in the province of Songkhla and the Amphoe Mueang Yala, Krong Pinang and Bannang Sata again in Yala. In the south of the state of Kedah is Malaysia.
History
In 1907, the territory of today's Yaha district of the city ( Mueang ) Yala was separated and set it into a Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Raman is divided into eight subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 48 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
Yaha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ยะหา ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Yaha.
In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
