Yahya ibn Mu'adh al-Razi
Yahya ibn Mu'adh al- Razi (Arabic یحیی بن معاذ الرازي, DMG Yahya b Mu ʿ ar - Razi AD, . Persian یحیی بن معاذ رازى, Yahya b Mu ʿ az Razi, . † 871 in Nishapur ) was a Persian Sufi ( Islamic mystics ).
He was born in Rayy ( near modern Tehran ) and lived for a time in Balkh. Probably he was the author of several literary works and poems about Sufism, but these books seem to be lost.
Yahya was like some other Sufis as a public preacher, but he stood out by its elegant and pleasant sayings from the great mass, which is why he got the nickname al - ʿ wa Iz ( the preacher ).
Two of his best known followers are Abu Uthman al - Hiri and Yusuf ibn Husain ar - Razi.
