Yakov Seleznev

Yakov Andreyevich Seleznev (Russian Яков Андреевич Селезнёв; * August 4, 1989 in Jelabuga, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player standing since 2012 with Vityaz Chekhov of the Kontinental Hockey League under contract and in parallel at HK Kuban Krasnodar will be used.

Career

Yakov Seleznev began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Molot Perm - Prikamye, for the first team, he made his debut in the Super League in the season 2004/ 05. In his rookie year he was no points in 13 games and received eight penalty minutes. Then the defender played two and a half years for Neftjanik Almetyevsk and Neftjanik Leninogorsk in Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, before moving to Ak Bars Kazan of the Super League during the 2007/08 season. This he left at the start of next season after he had played two games for Kazan in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League and joined the League rival Amur Khabarovsk.

For the season 2010/11 was committed by Seleznev Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. However, for the team he played only one game before moving within the KHL Spartak Moscow to HK in November 2010. After three games of the season 2011/12 he moved to HK Donbass Donetsk from the Wysschaja Hockey League, with whom he also took part in the Continental Cup.

Internationally

For Russia Seleznev took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2007 and the U20 World Youth Championship 2008.
