Yalovaspor

Yalovaspor is a Turkish football club based in the provincial capital of the province of Yalova. Their home games wearing the green - red from the Yalova Atatürk Stadium.

History

Foundation

The club was founded on 1963 by the merger of the two clubs Gençlikspor and Kayaspor in Yalova and took part because of its proximity to the İstanbul Amatör Ligi. In order to bring professional football in the more remote provinces, became the 1983/84 season, the previously abolished third highest Turkish league, which today TFF Lig 2, re-founded and incorporated teams from the amateur leagues. In this context, Yalovaspor been added to this league. Here they played continuously until the summer of 1990 and then rose through the -won championship in the second TFF Lig the first time in club history in the second highest Turkish league, which today TFF 1 Lig on.
