The West African language Jalonke (also known as Yalunka or Diallonke referred ) is still spoken by about 172,000 people. Dissemination area are the West African country of Sierra Leone, Senegal, Guinea and Mali.
Usage
Jalonke is spoken only in hard to reach regional enclaves ( enclaves ). Until the displacement of Jalonke by the Ful Jalonke was also used nationwide.
Origin
The term Jalonke means " the language of the Jalon ". This is a reference to the people of Futa Jalon Jalonke in the mountains in Guinea.

There are, among others, the dialects Firia, Sulima and Musaia.
