Yamaga, Kumamoto
Yamaga (Japanese山 鹿 市, -shi, literally: "Mountain Deer " ) is a Japanese city in Kumamoto Prefecture on the island of Kyūshū.
Geography
Yamaga is located north of Kumamoto and south of Fukuoka and Kurume.
History
The city of Yamaga was on 15 January 2005 from the merger of the municipalities Kahoku (鹿 北 町, machi ), Kamoto (鹿 本 町, machi ), Kao (鹿 央 町, machi ) and Kikuka (菊 鹿 町, machi ) in County Kamoto.
