Yamanoue no Okura
Yamanoue no Okura (Japanese山上 忆 良, Yamanoue no Okura, * 660, † 733 ) was a Japanese poet who is best known for his poems about children and ordinary people.
He also contributed several works to the major Japanese anthology Manyoshu at. His work has a strong Chinese influence. Unlike other Japanese poets of his time, he represents moral values based on the teachings of Confucius. He may be born 660, since his fifth book of poems, which was published in his death in 733, a set including "This year, I 'm 74 ."
