Yamanoue no Okura

Yamanoue no Okura (Japanese山上 忆 良, Yamanoue no Okura, * 660, † 733 ) was a Japanese poet who is best known for his poems about children and ordinary people.

He also contributed several works to the major Japanese anthology Manyoshu at. His work has a strong Chinese influence. Unlike other Japanese poets of his time, he represents moral values ​​based on the teachings of Confucius.
