Yan Hong

Yan Hong (Chinese闫 红, Pinyin Yan Hong, born October 23, 1966 in Tieling, Liaoning Province ) is a former Chinese athlete.

She won the silver medal in the 3000 - meter track Go at the IAAF World Indoor Games in Paris in 1985. On March 16, 1985, she was undercutting with a time of 44:14 minutes over 10 kilometers the then world record of Olga Krischtop to 38 seconds. That same year, Yan won on the 10 - kilometer distance in the World Cup of walkers on the Isle of Man and was over 5000 meters on the track Second at the Universiade in Kobe.

At the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome she won the bronze medal over 10 km behind Irina Strachowa from the Soviet Union and the Australian Kerry Saxby.
