Yan Lianke

Yan Lianke ( Chinese:阎连科; * 1958 ) is a major Chinese writers of the present day.

Biography

Yan Lianke was born in 1958 in a circle song Luoyang City in Henan Province. In 1978, he joined the People's Liberation Army. In 1985 he completed his studies at the Henan University, 1991, he acquired a further degree at the Art Academy of the People's Liberation Army in literature. Yan Lianke lives in Beijing.

Yan Lianke is the recipient of Lǔ Xun Literature Prize. For his novel Shou Huo "受 活" In 2005 he was awarded the Lǎo SHE Literature Prize.

In the same year attracted Yan Liánkēs novel DING Zhuang Meng "丁 庄 梦" ( " The dream of the village thing" in German translation: The dream of my grandfather's ) attention. In this novel, he describes how the peasants of a village in Henan donate blood for money in order - in the absence of other sources of revenue - to keep up with the economic boom step.
