Yan Sen

Yan Sen (Chinese阎森, Pinyin Yan Sen, born August 16, 1975 in Jiangsu) is a Chinese table tennis player. He was twice world champion in doubles, Asian champion in mixed doubles and Olympic champion in doubles.

Career

Yan Sen began at the age of six years with the table tennis games. In 1993 he became World Junior Champion in singles.

His greatest successes he achieved in doubles with his compatriot Wang Liqin, with whom he appeared in the rule. He took 1997 to 2005 at five World Cups. He came in 1999 to double the final, which was lost to Kong Linghui / Liu Guoliang. With the next World Cups in 2001 and 2003 winning the title succeeded. Bronze he won in 1997 and 2005, single doubles and mixed with Guo Yan.

Six times he qualified by success in the ITTF Pro Tour tournaments to participate in the Grand Finals. Here he was in 1996, 1998 and 2000, first in doubles. Asian champions in 1998 and 2000 he was with the Chinese team and 2000 in mixed with Yang Ying. In 2000 he was double Olympic champion.

In the ITTF World Ranking, he finished 25th place in January 2001
