Yana Shemyakina

Jana Wolodymyriwna Schemjakina (Ukrainian Яна Володимирівна Шемякіна; born January 5, 1986 in Lviv ) is a Ukrainian fencer sword and Olympic champion.

Schemjakina was 2005 Zalaegerszeg Single European champion and third with the team, 2009, she reached the third place in singles. In the Summer Universiade 2007, she won both the individual and to the team gold.

2008 at her first Olympic Games in Beijing she won in a single 18th place, in 2012, she won the gold medal in the individual competition with 9:8 against Britta Heidemann.
