Yang Chen

Yang Chen ( Chinese:杨晨, Yáng Chén ) ( born January 17, 1974 in Beijing) is a former Chinese football player.

Career

Yang Chen began his career with Beijing Guoan. For the 1998/99 season he was loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt. Yang was the first Chinese to play in the Bundesliga. After the season, he was firmly committed to Eintracht Frankfurt and he signed a three-year contract. After his contract expired, he moved to FC St. Pauli, but he left after one season in order to return to his homeland. From 2003 to 2007 he played for the Chinese first division Shenzhen and Xiamen Jianlibao lanshi and then ended his career.

With the Chinese national team, he participated in South Korea and Japan at the FIFA World Cup 2002.
