Yang Sisurat District

Amphoe Yang Sisurat ( Thai อำเภอ ยาง สี สุ ราช ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the south of the province of Maha Sarakham. The Maha Sarakham Province is located in the center of northeast Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Yang Sisurat borders the following districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Na to the Chueak, Na Dun and Phayakkhaphum Phisai Maha Sarakham province, as well as to the Amphoe Na Pho Phutthaisong and the province of Buriram.

History

Yang Sisurat was on 1 April 1989 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by six tambon from Amphoe Phayakkhaphum Phisai were separated. On 8 September 1995, the district has been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Yang Sisurat is divided into seven communities ( tambon), which in turn in 91 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
