Yang Wei (Badminton)

Yang Wei (Chinese杨维, Pinyin Yang Wei, born January 13, 1979 in Hubei, Guangdong Province ) is a Chinese badminton player.

Career

Yang took for China in badminton at the 2004 Olympics in women's doubles with her partner Zhang Jiewen part. They had a bye in the first round and in the second round they defeated Jo Novita and Lita Nurlita from Indonesia. In the quarterfinals, Yang Zhang ung Saralee Thungthongkam and Sathinee Chankrachangwong hit from Thailand 15:2, 15:4. They won the semifinal against Ra Kyung -min and Lee Kyung -won of South Korea with 15:6, 15:4. In the finals against the Chinese rural women Huang Sui and Gao Ling Zhang and Yang strengthened after losing the first set to win with 7:15, 15:4, 15:8 the gold medal.

Yang Wei won together with Zhang Jiewen 2005, the competition in the women's doubles at the Individual World Championship 2005 in Anaheim. The title they won again at the Badminton World Championships 2007.
