Yang Ying

Yang Ying ( born July 13, 1977 in Xuzhou ) is a Chinese table tennis player. It was four times world champion and won at the 2000 Olympic Games silver medal.

Career

Yang Ying took from 1995 to 2001 at four world championships. With the Chinese women's team, it was 1997 and 2001 World Champion. Another title win in 1997 succeeded in a double with Deng Yaping and 2001 in mixed with Qin Zhijian. With Sun Jin, it reached 1999 and 2001, the double final, which was lost in each case against Wang Nan / Li Ju. 1999 brought the Qin Zhijian bronze in mixed doubles.

In 2000 she was champion in Asia Mixed with Yan Sen and with the Chinese team. They often started at the ITTF Pro Tour tournaments, where she qualified five times for the Grand Finals. Here she was especially successful in doubles competition, which she won in 1996 with Deng Yaping and 2000 Sun Jin. In 1999, she failed in the final to Wang Nan / Li Ju. In individual they came in 1996 and 2000 to the last four.

2000 Ying Yang qualified for participation in the Summer Olympics. Here she won the doubles with Sun Jin the silver medal. In the final, they lost again against Wang Nan / Li Ju.

In the ITTF World Ranking Yang Ying took fourth place in 1997.

In 1997 she was hired by the German Bundesliga club team galaxy Lübeck, but did not play.
