Yanggakdo International Hotel

The Yanggakdo International Hotel is the largest hotel in operation and at the same time the second largest building in North Korea, after the Ryugyong Hotel. Located on the southern edge of downtown Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, at the eastern end of the island Yanggak, which is surrounded by the River Taedong - gang. The building is 170 feet high; other sources estimate the height to 150 meters. In the 47th floor of a slowly revolving restaurant is housed. In the basement of the hotel are a bowling alley, a billiards room, an indoor pool, a hairdressing salon, a casino and a massage club, which is operated by a Chinese company and works in the exclusively female staff.

On the island Yanggak also contains the Pyongyang International Cinema Hall, which is adjacent to the hotel.
