Yann Sommer ( born December 17, 1988 in Morges ) is a Swiss football goalkeeper. In the seasons 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13 he became Swiss champion with FC Basel. Since May 2012, he also plays for the Swiss national football team.

Career as a player

Association

Summer began with the football game at FC Herrliberg and already played at Concordia Basel. During 2003, he stepped over to the youth from FC Basel. In 2005, he received his first professional contract and became the goalkeeper at FC Basel U -21 team in the first league. He was taken to the 2006/07 season in the first team and was then behind Franco Costanzo and Louis Crayton number three in the gate of FC Basel.

National

Yann Sommer played for several youth national teams, including the Swiss U-16, U -17 and U-19 Juniors Juniors.
