Yannic Seidenberg

Yannic Seidenberg ( born January 11, 1984 in Villingen -Schwenningen ) is a German professional ice hockey player who plays for EHC Red Bull Munich in the German Ice Hockey League. His older brother Dennis is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Yannic Seidenberg began at Schwenningen ERC with ice hockey. In the summer of 2000, the winger moved to the Adler Mannheim of which he was first employed in the German Young League and spent already in the 2001/ 02 season, the majority of the year in the German ice hockey league in professional team of Mannheim. There Seidenberg reached with the team to the play - off final, but which was lost against the Cologne Sharks. The following year, the attacker difference with the eagles in the semifinals, again against the KEC from. At the beginning of the season 2003 /04 changed the links Sagittarius in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League with the Medicine Hat Tigers, where he became one of the best players of the team and in almost every game scored a point scorer. For the season 2004 /05, the attacker returned to Germany and joined the Cologne Sharks on. However, Seidenberg could not confirm his previous performances and signed after only one year a contract with Premier League rivals ERC Ingolstadt. After he was able to achieve a single goal at the Cologne Sharks, the striker was in his first season in Ingolstadt one of the best German players. Since the 2009/10 season he was back with the Eagles Mannheim, with whom he was vice-champion in 2012. 2013 he went to Red Bull EHC Munich.

Internationally

Seidenberg debuted at the U18 Junior World Championship 2001 for a selection of the DEB. This was followed by attendance at the U18 World Cup 2002 and the Junior World Championships in 2003 and 2004., 2006, the attackers arrived at the Division I World Championship in Amiens for the first time for the senior team in a major tournament for use. Even with the A- 2007 World Championships in Moscow belonged Seidenberg for the German squad selection, but was injured in the first game against Canada after a check hard and had the World Cup prematurely because of a concussion. In the 2008 World Cup, the striker was again on the national team. In the last and meaningless game against Latvia, he tore the cruciate ligament and was sidelined for several months. For the World Cup 2009 he was appointed to the National team squad by national coach Uwe Krupp again.
