Yao Aziawonou

Yao Aziawonou Kaka ( born November 30, 1979 in Lomé ) is a former Togolese football player. He plays the position of midfielder.

Clubs

Aziawonou began his career in his hometown at Étoile Filante de Lome before he moved to FC Nantes in France to the 1997/98 season. Here he attended the football boarding school of FC Nantes. After one season he moved to FC Sion, after just one season, he joined the club again, this time he hired at FC cheeks. For the season 2000/ 01 changed Aziawonou, then to FC Basel in the Swiss Super League, where he remained for two seasons. Before he moved to FC Thun, after a season in the Bernese countries joined Aziawonou to league rivals Servette Geneva, but here he only played one season. For the season 2004 /05 he came to his current club BSC Young Boys. The coach no longer sat in the season 2006/ 07 on him, Aziawonou was loaned to FC Lucerne in September 2006. Since the FC Luzern wanted to force him not final during the winter break, he returned to the Young Boys. In March 2007 he suffered during the match against Sierra Leone a torn ACL, and therefore the contract with the Young Boys was not renewed. Aziawonou left Bern and tried in Winterthur.

Aziawonou belonged to the African Cup of Nations 2006, the Togolese squad, but where you already failed in the first round.

He completed so far (September 2009) 34 caps, scoring one goal. With Togo, he managed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2006, where he regularly came into use in the World Cup qualifiers.
