Yârsânism

The Ahl -e Haqq (Kurdish یاڔہسان; persian اهل حق; People of Truth), also Kaka'i or Yarsan or Yaresan called, are a religious community, between the border of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (around Halabja ) and Iran is located in Lorestan and Kermanshah to and more recently in Western countries in the Diaspora. Besides Kurdish supporters there are also Luri, Azeri, Persian and Arab.

The religion of the Ahl -e Haqq has next to Shiite facets especially significant elements of Jesidentums and Alevism. The number of members is estimated at 1,000,000.

The religious literature of the Ahl -e Haqq is written primarily on a Gorani ( Hawrami and Leki ), the Ahl- e Haqq are most lekisprachig. The Ahl -e Haqq perceive themselves - regardless of which dialect they speak - as Guran ( Goran ) Kurds.

The Ahl -e Haqq believe in seven successive incarnations of the deity as well and as a result five epiphanies of divine hypostases or angels. These are the divine flowed and formed their own beings. From Sufism ( Islamic mysticism ) they have adopted the practice of dhikr as well as sharing communal meals and fraternal coexistence.

One of the first scientific descriptions of the Ahl -e Haqq include the works ( Notes sur la sect of the Ahl -I Haqq ) of the Russian Orientalist and diplomat Vladimir Minorski from the year 1920.
