Yasuhito EndÅ
Yasuhito Endō (Japanese远藤 保 仁Endō Yasuhito; born January 28, 1980 in Sakurajima, Kagoshima -gun (now Kagoshima ), Kagoshima Prefecture) is a Japanese football player. It is usually used as a defensive midfielder. Since 16 October 2012, he is Japanese most-capped player.
Career
Endō 1999 moved from Yokohama Flugels to Kyoto Purple Sanga in the J. League. In 2001 he went to Gamba Osaka. There he became a reliable and technically skilled players. In 2003 he made his debut in the Japanese national team. After that he took part in the Confederations Cup in 2005 and was used as a substitute.
With Japan he won the Asia Cup in 2004 and 2011. He was also nominated for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa.
On 12 October 2012, he went 1-0 against France be 122 international match and placed so that the record of Masami Ihara a, who was since 1995 most-capped player. Four days later Endō was the 0-4 against Brazil, with its 123 international match record holder.
