Yave Cahard

Yave Cahard ( born December 26, 1957 in Sainte-Adresse ) is a French former racing cyclist and World Champion.

1979 Yave Cahard in Amsterdam amateur world champion on the tandem, together with Franck Depine. The following year he competed in the Olympic Games in Moscow and won the silver medal in the sprint behind the German Lutz Heßlich. In the 1000 -meter time trial, he finished fifth. As an amateur, he also won eight national titles in the sprint and time trial.

1982 Cahard stepped over to the professionals. In the same year, and in 1985 he became French champion in the sprint of the professionals. In 1983 he was in Zurich Vice - world champion in sprint, 1982 and 1984, he came third in the World Cup. Twice he wins the Sprint Classic Grand Prix de Paris in second place in 1980 as an amateur and as a professional in 1984.
