Yaxa was a Swiss car brand.

Company History

Charles Baehni, who worked at Henriod et Cie and martini before, the company Charles Baehni & Cie founded in 1912 on the Rue de Lancy 24 in Geneva's Les Acacias for the production of automobiles. The brand name was derived from il n'y a que ça to German as there is only this one from. Attendance at the British International Motor Show in London in 1913 led to some vehicles are sold to England. The dealer network included stations in Bern, Biel / Bienne, Brugg, Freiburg, Geneva, Lucerne and Zurich. 1914 production ended after about 100 copies produced.

Rolling stock

The first model 6/12 CV had a four cylinder engine of Zedel with side valves. The cylinder dimensions 67 mm bore and 120 mm stroke yielded 1692 cc. There was also a model whose engine had 1847 cc displacement. The gearbox had four speeds. Special feature was the placement of the shift lever and handbrake lever in center of the vehicle. The track width was 125 cm, and the weight of the chassis 500 kg. The vehicles were two - and four seats available. The price for the four-seater torpedo was 7000 Swiss Francs.
