Ye Shiwen (Chinese叶 诗文/叶 诗文, Pinyin Yè Shiwen, born 1 March 1996 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang) is a Chinese swimmer.
Near the swimming World Cup 2010 they made the first time international attention - she won the gold medals in Beijing over 100m freestyle, 200m individual medley and 400 m medley. In the Short Course World Championships in Dubai, they won the silver medal in December about 200 m medley and 400 m medley.
With the World Swimming Championships 2011 in Shanghai, China, Ye Shiwen on July 25 was World Champion over 200 m medley in the time of 2:08,90 min and about 400 m medley she finished in 5th place.
At the Olympic Summer Games 2012 in London, she won in a world record time of 4:28,43 min the race over 400 m medley. She was on the last train with 28.93 seconds faster than the Olympic champion Ryan Lochte, who for the same day took 29.10 seconds.
