Yegemen Qazaqstan

The newspaper Egemen Kazakhstan is one of the largest newspapers in Kazakhstan. It is an official government newspaper with a daily circulation of 83,600 copies.

The leaf spread official information about the work of state bodies, published government reports and answered questions about the internal and foreign policy of the country.

The first time appeared Egemen Kazakhstan on 17 December 1919 as Ұшқын in Orenburg, then the capital of the Alash -Orda State (now mostly Kazakh territory). In 1975, the circulation was 150,000 copies yet, today it is 83,600 a day. In 1925, the editors moved its headquarters to Kyzylorda. 1957 the newspaper received the Order of the Red Banner of Labor awarded.
