Yegor Titov

Yegor Ilyich Titov (Russian Егор Ильич Титов; born May 27, 1976 in Moscow ) is a retired Russian football player.

Career

The midfielder played from 1992 to 2008 for Spartak Moscow and was voted Footballer of the Year in Russia in 1998 and 2000. In 2008 he switched to FK Khimki. He left this club in February 2009 and played the 2009 season in Astana locomotive. He then ended his career.

National

Titov completed a total of 41 missions for the Russian national team and participated with this at the 2002 World Cup. In qualifying for the 2004 European Titov caused a scandal when he tested positive after a match against Wales on doping. He was therefore suspended for one year. In September 2005, Titov his comeback in the national team. His last international match so far he graduated in February 2007. Few months later, in September 2007, Titov announced his retirement from international football.
