Yehuda Alharizi

Judah al - Charisi (also Yehudah ben Solomon al - Charisi; * about 1165 or 1170 probably in Toledo, † around 1225 or 1235 in Aleppo ) was a well-traveled Spanish- Jewish poet and translator from Arabic into Hebrew.

He wrote, among other things, the sefer tachkemoni ( "Book of the hose Meier " - 50 Makamen in dialogue form ) and translated Maimonides ' " Guide of the Perplexed " into Hebrew. His works have had on Latin and Spanish translations consequence a certain influence on the Christian world.
