Yehuda ben Moshe

Yehuda Ben Moses was a Jewish translator, personal physician and astronomer at the court of Alfonso the Wise of Castile and Leon in the 13th century.

He was next to Isaac Ben Sid the most important figure at the School of Translators of Toledo.

A legend says that he correctly recognized a disease of the Crown Prince of Portugal Dionysius, which was returned from the Hofpriestern on the employment of Jewish officials as blood clots. Through a successful operation, the threat of expulsion of the Jews from Spain and Portugal would have been prevented.
