Yekaterina Bakhvalova

Yekaterina Alexandrovna Bachwalowa (Russian Екатерина Александровна Бахвалова, English transcription Yekaterina Bakhvalova, . Born March 8, 1972 in Leningrad) is a former Russian hurdler who had specialized in the 400 - meter distance and because of their sprint strength in the 4 times 400 - meter relay was used.

In 1997, she reached at the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens the semi-finals and won the silver medal at the Universiade in Catania. The following year, she missed at the European Athletics Championships 1998 in Budapest just the final, but gained with the Russian 4 x 400 -meter relay silver. In 1999, she retired at the World Championships in Seville again in the semifinals.

In the EURO 2002 in Munich, she was fifth at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she came before the semifinals.

1997 and 2002, she was national champion in the 400m hurdles.
