Yelisaveta Bagriantseva

Elizaveta Petrovna Bagrjanzewa (Russian Елизавета Петровна Багрянцева; born August 27, 1929 † 24 January 1996), was a Soviet athlete who had specialized in the discus throw.

The 1,70 m tall and 76 kg Bagrjanzewa launched for Iskra Moscow. At the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, she won with a distance of 47.08 m silver medal in the discus throw. Nina Romaschkowa ( 51.42 m) and Nina Dumbadze ( 46.29 m ) completed the Soviet triple triumph.
