Yeranuhi Karakashian

Jeranuhi Karakaschian (Armenian Երանուհի Գարագաշեան; * 1848 in Üsküdar, † March 16, 1924 in Tbilisi ) was an Armenian actress. She was the older sister of Verkine Karakaschian.

For the first time Jeranuhi Karakaschian occurred in the 1864-65 season on Sark in the theater, then at Gedik Pasa theater (later known as Ottoman Theater ) by Agop Güllü, sometimes in Aziziye Theater in Üsküdar. From 1868 to 1878, took over lead female roles in Gedik Pasa theater. She participated in tours of Benliyan operetta troupe to Edirne, Egypt (1885 and 1888 ) and in the Caucasus (1880 ) part. 1888, she retired from the theater back, settled in Tbilisi and married Alexander Argutian.
