Yerba Buena Department

The department Yerba Buena is located in the province of Tucumán in northwestern Argentina, and is one of 17 administrative units in the province. It is bordered to the north by the Departamento Tafi Viejo, on the east by the department capital and the south and west by the Departamento Lules.

Population

According to calculations by the INDEC, the population increased from 63 707 inhabitants (2001) to 64 661 inhabitants in 2005.

The department consists of its capital Yerba Buena Yerba Buena and the rural communities Cevil Redondo and San Javier. Overall, it is divided ( municipios ) in 6 municipalities:
