Yevfimy Putyatin

Jewfimi Vasilyevich Putyatin ( russ Евфимий Васильевич Путятин, scientific transliteration Evfimij Vasil'evič Putyatin; born November 20, 1803 St. Petersburg, † October 28, 1883, Paris) was a Russian admiral, statesman and diplomat.

1852-1855 under exception Putyatin a world tour with the frigate Pallas, which took him from the Atlantic to Africa to China and Japan. On this journey he was accompanied by his secretary Goncharov, who published in 1858 a travelogue under the title The frigate Pallas.
