Yi Jun-yong

Youngsun -gun ( 영선 군 ,永 宣 君; * June 25, 1870, † March 22, 1917 ) was the grandson of Daewon -gun and nephew of the Korean King Gojong of the Joseon Dynasty. His real name is Jun- yong I ( Kor. 이준용 ,李 埈 镕).

Life

He was the rival of Gojong and Queen Myeongseong. In the history of Korea, he is usually called by his nickname Youngsun -gun and Yi Yong June ( 이준 공 ). He should have stood with Daewon -gun along with the Japanese diplomat authorized to Korea Miura Gorō in conjunction and have given the order for the murder of Korean Queen Myeongseong. He was romantically involved with Hong and Kim Kwang of Namyang -san. His concubines were Lee Ok- kyung and Jeon Soon- hyuk.
