Ying (Chu)

Ying (Chinese郢, Pinyin Yǐng ) was the capital of the ancient Chinese Chu State (楚). Their territory was on the territory of today's circle Jiangling in Hubei Province. After the reign of King Zhao of Chu (楚昭王) the capital was repeatedly postponed, the laid Capitals all wore the name " Ying " (郢).

At the time of the poet-philosopher Zhuangzi, it was still on the southern periphery of China.
