Yisrael Alter

Yisrael age (also called Bey Yisroel; born October 12, 1895 in Góra Kalwaria, † February 20, 1977 in Jerusalem) was fourth rabbi of the Hasidic movement Ger.

Life

Age was born in 1895 as the third son of the Gerrer Rabbi Avraham Mordechai age in Poland. He studied early on by his grandfather Yehuda Aryeh body age. At age 13, he married a cousin. During the German occupation he had to flee from Poland in 1940 and immigrated to the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine. His wife, his son, his daughter and grandchildren were killed in Germany during the Holocaust. Yisrael age married again. The marriage with Pearl pastures Field remained childless.
