Ylöjärvi

Ylöjärvi [ Ylöjärvi ] is a city in western Finland with 31 521 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 14 km west of Tampere on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi in the landscape Pirkanmaa. The neighboring towns and municipalities of Tampere Ylöjärvi are in the East, Nokia in the southwest, Hämeenkyrö in the West, Ikaalinen in the Northeast and Kuru in the Northeast. The community is monolingual Finnish speakers.

The community Ylöjärvi there since 1869, in 2004 it became a town. In 2007, the incorporation of the neighboring community Viljakkala and 2009, followed by Kuru.
