Yoel García

Yoel García Luis ( born November 25, 1973 in Nueva Gerona) is a former Cuban triple jumper.

His greatest successes were the gold medal at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Paris in 1997, the silver medal at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in 1995 in Mar del Plata.

He also finished fourth at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 and 2001, the fifth in Edmonton. 1997 in Athens and 1999 in Seville he missed each of the finals, as well as at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

He was the only time in his career Cuban champion in the triple jump in 1999.

Yoel García had a competition weight of 83 kg at a height of 1.82 m.
