Yogeshwar Dutt

Yogeshwar Dutt (Hindi: योगेश्वर दत्त; born November 22, 1982 in Bhainswal Kalan, District Sonipat, Haryana ) is an Indian wrestler. He won a bronze medal in the featherweight at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Career

Yogeshwar Dutt began at the age of eight in his home town with the rings. His first coach was there Ramphal. He is now at the stage Chhattral Delhi Sports Club and is coached by Satbir Singh and Singh Yasbir. He is a police employee. The 1.67 meter tall athlete first started Bantamweight (up to 55 kg) and moved in 2005 to the spring weight, the weight category up to 60 kg body weight. With rare exceptions, he started getting in free style.

His international career began as a junior in 1999. He was equal in Lodz Junior World Champion Cadets of the age group ( under 16 years ) in the weight class up to 42 kg. At the Junior World Championships aged Juniors ( up to age 18 ) in 2001 in Tashkent, he was far less successful in the weight class, because he lost both fights there, which he denied, and landed so only in 19th place. In 2002 he was but in Mashad / Iran Asian junior champion in the weight class up to 54 kg.

In 2004, he succeeded to the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Sofia bantamweight by a tournament victory in front of so renowned wrestlers like Kim Hyo -sub, South Korea, Alexander Kontojew, Russia and Radoslaw Welikow Marinov, Bulgaria, for the Olympic Games in Athens to qualify. In Athens, Yogeshwar Dutt lost to Chikara Tanabe, Japan and Namig Abdullayev from Azerbaijan and therefore only came to 18th place.

In 2005 he finished 5th in the Asia Cup in Wuhan featherweight. The Commonwealth Championships this year in Stellenbosch he won the free style ahead of his compatriot Ravinder Singh and finished third in Greco-Roman style wrestlers behind the same the 2nd place. In 2006 he won at the World Championships in Guangzhou Featherweight an excellent 5th place. He defeated Anatoli this Guidea, Bulgaria and Ko Young- chol, North Korea, then lost to Mike Zadick, USA, won out over Alexander Karnizki, Belarus and lost the battle for the bronze medal against Mawlet Batirow from Russia. In December 2006 he won the bronze medal at the Asian Games in Doha behind Mourad Seyed Mohammadi Pahnekalaei, Iran and Song Jae- myung, South Korea.

2007 Yogeshwar Dutt had to settle for the Asia Cup in Bishkek featherweight with an 8th place. Then he won in, but sparse, Commonwealt Championships in London in free style ahead of his compatriot Hardeep Sing and finished third in Greco-Roman silver behind Ravinder Singh 2nd place. At the 2007 World Championships in Baku, he defeated Hussain Gowdooei, Qatar, but then lost to Tevfik Odabasi, Turkey, retired and only came on the 16th Place. In 2008 he was in Jeju / South Korea for the first time Asian champions. In featherweight, he won there in front of Noriyuki Takatsuka, Japan, Yais Tlegenow, Uzbekistan and Seyed Mohammadi Mourad Pahnekalaei. He was thus at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 to start. There he came to a victory over Baur Chan Orasgalijew, Kazakhstan, but lost sinen next fight against Kenichi Yumoto of Japan. Yogeshwar Dutt was very successful in the Olympic year of 2012. In March 2012, he qualified in Astana by a 2nd place in the qualification tournament for participating in his third Olympic Games in London. In London, he then reached the biggest success so far in his career because he won there with a win over Anatoly Guidea, Kuduchow a defeat against Besik, Russia and wins over Franklin Gomez Matos, Puerto Rico, Masoud Esmailpourjouybari and Ri Jong- Myong, North Korea a bronze medal.
