Yohio

Yohio ( née: Kevin Lucas Johio Rehn Eire; * July 12, 1995 in Sundsvall ) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He is best known for his striking visual kei style and outfits.

Career

At the age of six years Yohio began to play the piano, and at age 11 moved to guitar. At 14 he began playing as a guitarist in the rock band Seremedy. In 2010, the band initially played only in her native Sweden before they had several concerts in Japan in 2011. She also took on Japanese visual rock festival V- Rock Festival '11 in Saitama part where Yohio was asked to perform solo. In the Swedish media Yohio was designated as a superstar with great success in Japan. In 2012 he was commissioned by Universal Music Japan under contract and he released his first EP Reach the Sky in Japan. His first CD, Break the Border, was published there in June 2013 and reached # 285 on the Oricon charts.

2013 took Yohio at Melodifestivalen, the Swedish preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, in part. With the song Heartbreak Hotel, he qualified for the finals on February 2, on 9 March, where he came second, but got the most points from the televoting. When Euro Vision Song Contest in 2013, he announced the Swedish scoring.

Yohio has collaborated with Japanese artist Gackt Camui. He also wrote a song for the Japanese visual - kei band Velvet Eden.

Personal

Yohio is the son of Swedish musician Tommy Rehn, Member of the metal band Corroded was. Yohio speaks Japanese because of his great interest in Japanese culture and the visual kei.
