Yokohama FC
Yokohama FC (Japanese横 浜FC, Yokohama Efushī ) is a Japanese football club based in the J. League Division 2 The hometown is Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture.
History
The team was founded in 1999 after the two teams in the Yokohama Marinos and Yokohama were pooled wing last year. Founders were fans of the wing, who refused the new Yokohama F. Marinos, so basically to support the existing local rivals. With numerous donations was therefore launched by the fans of the sponsoring organization Yokohama Fulie Sports Club, who eventually introduced the first worn by fans for the professional football team on its feet. As the colors of blue and white wing of Yokohama have been used by F. Marinos, the club chose the cyan color of the former factory team NKK FC to take over. The club came indeed from Kawasaki, but played some games in the domestic Mitsuzawa stage when the own stadium was used by other clubs such as Verdy Kawasaki, Toshiba and Fujitsu.
The first two years the team had to spend but in the unterklassigen Japan Football League. As a coach could get the famous German Pierre Littbarski. President of the association was Yasuhiko Okudera, who was the first Japanese professional soccer player in Europe in 1977. 2001 moved the team then in the second division of the J- League. The sporting success initially held within limits with the funds still only very moderate. Therefore, the team was after the 2005 season, just before the collapse, as they could only finish in eleventh place out of twelve teams playing time again.
2006 this changed abruptly: After they had all the preparation games, mostly against teams lost students, and eventually was lost also the first season game, it was decided at an early coaching change. The hitherto unknown as a coach Takuya Takagi rolled up his team to strengthen especially the defensive. The result was a 15 unbeaten games in a row. The team that was built around old stars such as Kazuyoshi Miura, Shoji Jo, Motohiro Yamaguchi and Norio Omura, so that made the jump to the top of the second division. This dramatic rise also caused more stir amongst football fans across the country. One reason for this was that the financial ability of the club were still very sparse. So the players were from Yokohama FC at this time one of the few Japanese professional soccer players who wash their jerseys and even had to clean their own football shoes; This changed with the support of the catering company Leoc as the main sponsor of the club. The season was the club successfully complete a master and increased after only seven years for the first time in the House of Lords.

Decisive team attacked but still in the championship fight one: With the win over the defending champions Urawa Red Diamonds on the final day, the club allowed the fifth title of the Kashima Antlers.
