Yolande Zauberman
Yolande Zauberman (* in Paris ) is a French film director and screenwriter.
The daughter of Polish immigrants studied art history and economics. In 1987 she made her first documentary Classified People, with whom she won prizes at several festivals and was nominated for a César for Best documentary short film. Her second documentary Caste criminelle (1989 ) ran in 1990 on the Film Festival of Cannes.
For her first feature film Moi Ivan, toi Abraham Zauberman was in Cannes (shared with The Scent of Green Papaya ) of the Youth Prize and on the Moscow Film Festival, the Golden St. George awarded in 1993.
