Yombe people

Ba Yombe is a tiny ethnic subgroup of the Tumbuka in the Northern Province of Zambia. The ethnic group counts 1,720 people and lives on the plateau. Their dialect is called Chi Yombe and is the languages ​​in the eastern province closer. The languages ​​of the Senga, Tumbuka, Fungwe and Yombe differ only in very small nuances. The annual festival is Vinkhakanimba which is passed as in all Zambian ethnic groups from the chief.
