Yongsan District

Yongsan -gu (or short Yongsan ) is a district in central Seoul.

Location

The adjacent counties are Mapo -gu in the West, Jung-gu Seongdong -gu in the north and the east. In the south, Yongsan is limited by the Han - gang, connecting on its other bank of the districts Yeongdeungpo -gu, Dongjak -gu, Seocho -gu and Gannam -gu. Along the northern shore of the Han gangs running an expressway, which receives a large proportion of private transport. The southern part of Namsans also belongs to Yongsan.

Attractions

The United States Army maintains a large military base in Yongsan. However, it is planned to transfer them from Seoul. The 전쟁 기념관 ( War Memorial Museum ) is located in Yongsan -gu.

Embassies

Almost all foreign embassies in South Korea are in Yongsan, as well as the German Embassy Seoul ( 308-5, Dongbinggo -Dong, Yongsan -Gu, Seoul 140-816 ). Switzerland and Austria The embassies are located in the district of Jongno -gu, however.
